Happy Birthday Secretariat! Bash This Weekend in Doswell
Considered by many the best race horse in history, Secretariat (1970-1989) will be honored at his home just outside Fredericksburg.
DOSWELL, VA — Secretariat was perhaps the most dominant and decorated race horse in history, and the lifelong Virginia resident will have birthday bash this weekend at the Virginia Horse Festival, 13048 Meadow Farm Road.
The 1973 triple-crown winning stallion was born March 30, 1970, and died Oct. 4. 1989.
His story will be celebrated Saturday from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
