City Police: Have You Seen This Man?

Fredericksburg resident disappeared last week on his way to workout.

A Fredericksburg man who’s been diagnosed with mental illnesses went off to a workout last wwek and disappeared, and city police alerted the public Wednesday that he’s a missing person.

At around 9 a.m. on March 26, 51-year-old Jerry Stewart left his home in the Mayfield neighborhood of Fredericksburg, intending to take a city bus to Planet Fitness in the Eagle Village Shopping Center. This trip was an almost daily routine for him, police said, but on the 26th, he never made it to Planet Fitness, and it’s unknown if he boarded the bus.

His family has not seen or heard from him since, according to police. Stewart has high blood pressure, and he also is diagnosed as bipolar and schizophrenic. He does not have any of his medications with him.

Stewart is a black man who is about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 145 pounds. He wears glasses and was last seen wearing a gray sweatsuit, police said. It is unknown if he has his cell phone with him.
