HDT Global Deal Brings New Jobs to Spotsylvania County

Fifty new "high-tech, well-paid" jobs are expected the first year in a deal approved by the Spotsylvania County Board of Supervisors.

SPOTSYLVANIA, VA — The good news is that Spotsylvania County has approved an agreement with HDC Expeditionary Systems that supposedly will bring 79 "high-tech, well-paid" jobs to the area.

The oh-by-the-way news is that many of those 79 new jobs will spaced out over the next 10 years — although the company does plan to hire 50 full-timers the first year.

The Delaware-based company already has a presence in the county, and the new deal includes up to $1.25 million in economic grants and tax incentives to put the new jobs in the county.
