Hit And Run In Spotsylvania County Kills Man, Sheriff Seeks Info
Officials said the victim was attempting to cross the street in the 10900 block of Courthouse Road Saturday when he was hit by a car.
SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, VA — The Spotsylvania Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help finding the driver responsible for killing a 41-year-old Fredericksburg man in a hit-and-run accident over the weekend.
According to officials, the accident happened at 11 p.m. Saturday. The victim, later identified as Deven P. Morgan of Fredericksburg, was attempting to cross the street in the 10900 block of Courthouse Road when he was hit by a car traveling eastbound on Courthouse Road.
When deputies arrived, several people were attempting to aid Morgan, who had life-threatening injuries. Morgan was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries, officials said.
