Homes Struck by Bullet, Arrow in Stafford: Police

The two apparently separate incidents prompt the Stafford County Sheriff's Office to seek the public's help in gathering information.

STAFFORD, VA — Two projectiles were fired into area homes Monday, one a bullet and the other an arrow, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.

In both cases, deputies are interviewing residents to find potential witnesses or suspects.

In the first incident, police responded to a report around 3 p.m. of shots fired at a home on Sequester Drive, where the resident said a bullet had pierced a double-pane window in the family room and lodged in a wall.

In the second incident, police responded to a report around 6 p.m. of an arrow having been shot into a home at Viking Lane and lodged in the wall of a spare bedroom. Police say the arrow had a green and white fin and was shot from an Easton Magnum crossbow.
