House Fire Kills Man; Wife Charged In Stafford: Police ICYMI
A wife was charged with attempted murder two days before her husband died from injuries in a fire she set: Stafford County Sheriff's Office.

STAFFORD, VA — A woman has been charged with attempted murder after an investigation found she intentionally set her home on fire May 1, a blaze that ultimately led to the death of her husband Monday. Lisa Bartosch, 52, of Devonshire Lane, was charged two days before her husband died with attempted first degree murder, aggravated malicious wounding and arson. She was arrested Friday and is being held without bond.
Her husband, Scott Michael Bartosch, Jr., 51, was injured in the fire and never recovered. The case has been under investigation for nearly a month. Police say additional charges are forthcoming.
