Indecent Exposure, Assault, DUI Charges For Stafford Woman: Cops

Stafford police claimed they found a woman driving with a man hanging off of her truck before she exposed herself and assaulted deputies.

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A woman from Stafford County was arrested last week and now faces several charges, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. The woman was accused of driving under the influence, driving with a man clinging to the hood of her car, exposing herself, assaulting police officers, and fleeing from law enforcement.

On Wednesday, Aug. 18, deputies in Stafford County received a report of a man hanging off of the hood of a moving Dodge Ram truck. A deputy responded to the scene, in the 600 block of Kensington Drive, at 6 p.m.

When the deputies arrived on the scene, they saw a woman, later identified as Sharon Pinkett, exit the truck, according to the police report. Deputies claimed that Pinkett was uncooperative.

"Pinkett had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on her breath and glassy, bloodshot eyes," the sheriff's office wrote on Facebook. "Pinkett continued to curse and scream at the scene. During her tirade, her bikini top shifted, exposing her chest and she refused to cover herself back up."

The sheriff's office claimed that Pinkett kicked one of the deputies in the leg as they tried to place her under arrest. Deputies also said that Pinkett assaulted another person before they arrived on the scene.

Pinkett is charged with assault and battery, DUI, refusal, obstruction of justice, fleeing from law enforcement, driving suspended, assault and battery on law enforcement, indecent exposure, and giving a false identity. Pinkett was also charged with violating a protective order when "she screamed at another inmate in the jail, violating a previously issued protective order."

The man who hung onto the hood of the truck was also arrested, police said. The man was arrested after he yelled at deputies on the scene. Authorities claimed the man had "glassy, bloodshot eyes and smelled strongly of an alcoholic beverage." He was charged with public intoxication and temporarily held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
