Jackets Travel to Spotsy Friday Night
Yellow Jackets look to improve to 9-0 against 2-6 Knights.

Coach Rich Serbay's James Monroe football team is on the cusp of something great. Last week, , eager to partake in the festive atmosphere, but also to see how the Jackets would play against the strongest opponent on their schedule to date.
Many saw last week's bout with the Cougars as the final potential stumbling block to an undefeated regular season. The game also served as a litmus test of where the Jackets stood compared to "the best of the rest" in the Battlefield District.
Not only did JM take care of business against Courtland, but they did it in lopsided fashion. The trio of Preston, Conway, and D. Brown amassed 296 yards rushing, and the defense picked off four passes.

Tonight the Jackets hit the road to face a woeful Spotsy squad that has only won one Battlefield District contest, a 39-13 win over Culpeper County on Sept. 30. Last week, the Knights dropped a 34-2 decision to Chancellor.
Expect a heavy dose of Ethan Preston and the ground game, as the Jackets look to emerge from Knight Country unscathed and prepare for the season finale against Chancellor.
