James Monroe Blows Past Tabb in Season Opener, 59-20
Yellow Jackets scored 38 second-half points to secure lopsided victory.

In less than a week, two devastating storms have rolled through Yorktown. First, there was Hurricane Irene. Then, on Monday, down came James Monroe High School's football team.
The Yellow Jackets kicked off their 2011-12 campaign in style, defeating Tabb High School 59-20 at Bailey Stadium in Yorktown, Virginia. The game, originally slated for Friday, was postponed to Monday due to the storm.
Evidently, JM didn't want to wait any longer to get things going. On the first play of the season, senior A'Darius Brown returned the opening kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown, and the Jackets didn't look back from there.
