Update: James Monroe High School Cleared By Police After Threat
Update: Police officers have completed their search of James Monroe High School after a phone threat on Tuesday morning.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — James Monroe High School was placed on lockdown on Tuesday morning, the Fredericksburg Police Department said.
The school received a threat over the phone on Tuesday morning, according to authorities. At 11:30 a.m., school officials placed the school on lockdown.
At 12 p.m., police officers cleared the inside of the school. In an update at 12:10 p.m., the police department said its officers were searching the outside of the school.

At 12:22 p.m., police officers completed their search. The police department noted that no threats were found.
"Fredericksburg patrol officers and Fredericksburg Sheriff's Office deputies will remain at the school for the remainder of the day," the police department said.
