Yellow Jackets Remain Unbeaten in District Play
The Yellow Jackets improved to 9-1 on the season with a 68-48 district win over Courtland Tuesday. Big man Te'Quan Alers notched a double-double and Bruce Johnson led all scorers with 20 points. James Monroe (9-1, 5-0 Battlefield) will host Chancellor Friday, Jan. 13 at 7 p.m. The Chargers have also gotten off to a hot start, coming into Friday's matchup with a mark of 10-3.

Lady Jackets Fall to Undefeated Courtland, 64-53
Despite a 25-point effort by standout Keyontae Williams, the Yellow Jackets were unable to hold off a second-half charge by the Cougars Tuesday. The game was tied at halftime (31-31), but Courtland outscored JM 15-9 in the third quarter and 18-13 in the final stanza to hold on for the win. James Monroe will travel to Chancellor on Friday.
