James Monroe Presidential Inauguration Reenactment Saturday in Fredericksburg
He was inaugurated March 4, 1817, and actors will re-create the scene at the Jame Monroe Museum, 980 Charles Street.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — See something Saturday that happened exactly 200 years ago in real time — kinda sorta.
It's the James Monroe presidential inauguration reenactment, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the James Monroe Museum, 908 Charles Street.
Monroe became the nation's fifth president March 4, 1817, and the bicentennial celebration will feature noted area actors in period roles.

President Monroe will be portrayed by James "Jay" G. Harrison III.
