James Monroe Set to Host Stafford

Rich Serbay's squad may be primed for a deep post-season run. While one game isn't enough of a representative sample to pass judgement,

Friday at 7:30 p.m., the Yellow Jackets host Stafford High School in a game that will test this team against a regional rival. 

Stafford, a AAA school from the Commonwealth District, competed with some of the group's best last season, and will be ready to go under fifth-year head coach Chad Lewis. The Indians (0-1)* have run both a spread and a pro-style offense in recent years, so JM must anticipate a varied attack.

Look for the home team to seek explosive plays on offense, getting the ball into the hands of their speedsters. Senior A'Darius Brown will try to follow up his 3 TD game against Tabb with another dominating performance. 

Game time is 7:30 p.m. at the old Maury School field.

*Last week Stafford lost 13-3 to Potomac (Dumfries)
