JMHS Boys', Girls' Hoops Find Holiday Tourney Wins
Both James Monroe's Boys' and Girls' basketball squads bounce back after losses earlier in the week.
James Monroe Women Take Down Gar-Field, 60-44
Keyontae Williams led all scorers with 30 points, and the Lady Jackets improved their record to 7-2 on the season with the 60-44 win over the Indians in the final (consolation) round of the Apple Federal Credit Union Winter Classic at Brooke Point High School. Williams, , was also named to all-tournament team.
Akira Jones and Brianne Stephenson paced the Jayem attack, with 13 and points respectively.

Yellow Jackets Bounce Back with 55-50 Win over Forge
After dropping a decision to Manchester Thursday, James Monroes' Boys' Basketball team responded Thursday with a win over tournament host Colonial Forge in the consolation game. The Jackets trailed by nine (33-24) at halftime, but efforts by the Bumbrey brothers (14 points apiece) propelled Jayem to the five-point win.
