Judith L. Chewning, 72, of Spotsylvania County passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Mary Washington Hospital after a long battle with ovarian cancer.
Mrs. Chewning worked as a bus driver for Spotsylvania County schools for 28 years. She was a collegiate of the Women of the Moose Chapter 1592, and past member of Chancellor Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors including her husband of 50 years Alvin D. Chewning; daughter Vicki K. Schroeck (Frank); son, Alvin L. Chewning; three step-daughters Vickie L. Chewning, Candy K. Gillette (Michael) and Rebecca Noel (Wayne); five grandsons, four granddaughters; and one great grandson.

A service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private.
