Juvenile Girl Groped, Followed Into Restroom in Fredericksburg: Police

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A man groped a juvenile using a vending machine and then followed her into a restroom last Saturday night at Mary Washington Hospital, 1001 Sam Perry Boulevard, according to Fredericksburg Police.

Jose Rivera, 41, of Stafford County, was arrested on charges of sexual battery, peeping or spying into a dwelling or enclosure and public intoxication.

Around 11:15, police responded to a sexual assault report in which the victim said she was using a vending machine when an unknown male came up behind her and groped her.

She ran into a nearby women's restroom and texted a family member, after which the offender opened the restroom door.

A review of hospital video showed the man, who was apprehended shortly thereafter.
