KrisKringlMarkt, Merry Tree Events Returning To Fredericksburg
The Fredericksburg Area Museum is holding "FAMFaire: KrisKringlMarkt," its annual traditional German-style holiday market.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — The Fredericksburg Area Museum is holding “FAMFaire: KrisKringlMarkt,” its annual traditional German-style holiday market, on Dec. 12-13. The event will feature vendors of all types selling their wares in Historic Market Square.
FAMFaire will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m both days. A maximum of eight vendors will occupy Market Square each day during the event. For visitors, there will be art, crafts and treats.
Fredericksburg-based German restaurant Alpine Chef also will be on site with traditional German cuisine. Visitors will have the opportunity to cast their vote for most creative vendor tent.

The FAM also is holding its fifth annual Merry Trees exhibit. FAM’s gallery spaces will be filled with trees decorated by Hugh Mercer Elementary School students. Each tree will be inspired by a book the students have read in the classroom.

Merry Trees will be on display Dec. 1-31. The exhibit will be open to the public. FAM members and children under the age of 10 can enter free of charge.
