La Rosetta Ristorante Opens Doors at New Fredericksburg Location

Italian fusion and possible ghosts at Fredericksburg's newest restaurant.

If classic Italian food with a little Latin flare sounds good to you, check out Fredericksburg’s newest restaurant, La Rosetta Ristorante which opened its doors today, Dec. 8.

The new restaurant is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., according to its Facebook page.

La Rosetta has been a Stafford favorite since first opening in 2006 and now has a new location at The Chimneys, 623 Caroline St. in Fredericksburg. Though the original restaurant focuses on traditional Italian cuisine, the owners told Street Caroline they want to use the new location to experiment with international foods and Latin fusion.

Along with a new building, La Rosetta may have inherited a few ghosts. The Chimneys, listed on the U.S. National Register of Historical Places, is rumored to be home to three ghosts. Owners told The Street Caroline that they’ve heard stories of the ghosts, two children and one woman, but haven’t seen one. If they do, they’re not afraid: all stories say the spirits are friendly.
