Lady Eagles Lacrosse Ranks 17th
Coming of a 13-8 season, the Lady Eagles Lacrosse team has high hopes for 2012.

The preseason Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association's poll has the University of Mary Washington's lacrosse team at 17th in the country, three spots higher than where the team landed at the end of the season last year.
The Eagles finished 13-8 in 2011. All-Americans Catherine Kennedy and Allie Kimmelman are both back for 2012.
The Eagles will play the top team ranked in the poll, Gettysburg, the defending national champion. Also on the schedule are Salisbury (6), Catholic (11) and Washington and Lee (14). The first game is on Feb. 19 against St. Joseph's College (NY).
