'Large Quantity' of Heroin, Cash, Guns Seized in Stafford Bust: Police

Arrests came after a weeks-long investigation, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.

STAFFORD, VA — A weeks-long investigation resulted in the arrest last Wednesday of two suspected heroin dealers at an apartment on Elkton Drive, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.

Darrell John Edwards, 32, was charged with distribution of heroin, possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm with Schedule 1 narcotics.

April Anne Coles, 33, was charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin.

Late Wednesday afternoon, Edwards — who had an arrest warrant out on him — returned to his residence and was arrested, after which a search ensued of his apartment and his vehicles.

Subsequently, Coles, who also lives at the apartment, was arrested for probable cause related to the charges.
