Leonard Joseph Valko, Jr., 47, of Spotsylvania, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Stafford Hospital.
Mr. Valko was a lover of all things historical, and he taught AP History and Cambridge program at Potomac High School. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Mary Catholic Church and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He loved animals, especially his dog, Cyrus.
Survived by his loving family, wife and best friend of 10 years, Kelly Valko; his beloved children, Kimberly, Kira, Raymond, Gabriella, Jaeden and Cassia; his father, Leonard J. Valko, Sr. and step-mother, Arlene; sister Kimberly Valko; step-brother Kevin Newman; step-sister Heather Talley.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Valko.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, at Covenant Funeral Service in Frederickburg.

A Mass of Celebration will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, at St. Mary Catholic Church.
