Lewd Photographer Ambushes Woman in Fredericksburg: Police ICYMI

A man sneaked up on a woman walking down the street Sunday afternoon and tried to take an inappropriate photo of her: Fredericksburg Police.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — An unknown man sneaked up behind a woman late Sunday afternoon and attempted to take an inappropriate picture of her while she was walking in the 100 block of George Street, according to Fredericksburg Police. The suspect is described as white, in his mid-20s, with blonde hair and a beard. He was wearing a neon orange t-shirt.

Police responded to the scene shortly before 5 p.m. The woman told them that when he tried to take the photo, she yelled at the man. He fled toward George Street. The investigation is ongoing.

400 block Newell Street, 3/19, 11:30 p.m. Several City residents reported hearing multiple shots
fired in the 400 block of Newell Street. Patrol responded and found multiple shell casings located
in the area between Newell Street and Davies Court. Two vehicles were struck by bullets. No
persons or dwellings were struck. The investigation is ongoing.

Burglary/ Breaking and Entering:
Micah Ecumenical Ministries, 1013 Princess Anne Street, 5/21, 1:45 p.m. An employee reported
that an unknown person forced entry into the building. No items were missing from the building.
No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Motor Vehicle Theft:
Premium Spas and Billiards Store parking lot, 1993 Carl D. Silver Parkway, 5/21, 12:00 a.m. A
citizen reported he parked his black, 2015 Honda Accord behind the store. When he returned a
few hours later, his vehicle was gone. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Vandalism/ Destruction of Property:
1500 block Caroline Street, 5/21, 5:00 a.m. A City resident reported that an unknown person
ripped down two flags hanging on her residence. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Vandalism of a Motor Vehicle:
2300 block Cowan Boulevard, 5/20, 8:00 a.m. A City resident reported that an unknown person
shattered the front passenger-side window of his vehicle. No items were missing from the
vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Larceny – Theft from Building:
300 block Prince Edward Street, 5/21, 1:00 p.m. A City resident reported that an unknown person
stole a gold necklace valued at $300 from her apartment. There were no signs of forced entry into
the apartment. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Larceny – Theft from Motor Vehicle:
200 block Hillcrest Drive, 5/18, 9:00 p.m. A City resident reported that an unknown person stole
several hundred dollars from the glove box of his unsecured vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at
this time.

Larceny – Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts:
100 block Riverside Manor Boulevard, 5/20, 8:00 a.m. A City resident reported that an unknown
person stole one of her vehicle’s license plates. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
