Love one's country with unconditional patriotism

I am proud to be a Muslim in America because here I am given the freedom to practice my religion.

As a Muslim it is my duty to be always loyal to my nation. The Holy Qur’an states “O ye who believe, obey God and obey the Prophet and obey those in authority from among you” (4:60). The ones who commit acts of violence against one’s country act in total contradiction of the true teachings of Islam. In the Holy Qur’an God says, “Seek not to create disorder in the earth. Verily, God loves not those who seek to create disorder” (28:78). If a person wants to win God’s pleasure he cannot do so by hurting others.

Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, highlighted the same message when he said, “I consider it just and a duty on account of my faith to express gratitude to the Government.”

These are the true teachings that a believer follows and thus always loves one’s country with unconditional patriotism.
