Man Accused Of Arson Faces More Charges In Stafford County: Police
A man accused of setting cars on fire in Stafford County now faces additional charges related to stolen vehicles, the sheriff's office said.
STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A man accused of setting cars on fire in Stafford County last month now faces additional charges, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said. Police said they connected the man to four thefts from vehicles and a pair of stolen vehicles.
Authorities identified the man as 19-year-old Michael Bowling from Chesapeake. Bowling is charged with three counts of felony grand larceny and nine counts of misdemeanor tampering with vehicles.
Last month, Bowling was arrested and charged with two counts of arson involving vehicles, grand larceny, and destroying a vehicle. He is being held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.

Authorities said the thefts occurred in the Grafton Village area before Bowling was arrested on July 17. The thefts included bank cards, drivers licenses, house keys, and a 14 karat diamond ring, according to the sheriff's office.

Bowling was arrested on July 19 after a standoff in Grafton Village. Police officials said Bowling was responsible for setting two cars on fire in the area.
