Man Fatally Shoots Himself After Robbing CVS In Stafford: Police
A Stafford man fatally shot himself in the head Thursday shortly after robbing a CVS pharmacy in Stafford, according to the SCSO.

STAFFORD, VA—A Stafford man fatally shot himself in the head Thursday afternoon shortly after robbing a CVS pharmacy at 25 South Gateway Drive and being stopped by police after a brief highway chase, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. He was identified as Nathan Andrew Elliott, 45.
Around 3 p.m., police responded to a reported armed robbery at the CVS inside a Target store. Witnesses said a man walked up to the pharmacy counter, flashed a handgun and demanded narcotics. He was given an item and fled the store in a silver vehicle, an account verified by security camera footage.
Police spotted the vehicle on Richland Road and followed it until it reached Hartwood Landing Lane, where it abruptly stopped. An officer approached Elliott, who then shot himself. He was taken to Mary Washington Hospital and pronounced dead.
