Man Gets 25 Years For Raping 6-Year-Old In Stafford
A man was sentenced Thursday to 45 years in jail for raping a 6-year-old girl around 10 years ago in Stafford County.

STAFFORD, VA—A man was sentenced Thursday to 45 years in jail for raping a 6-year-old girl around 10 years ago in Stafford County. Matthew James Quick, 46, a former Stafford resident now of Jacksonville, N.C., had 20 years suspended. He entered an Alford plea in August, which means he doesn't admit guilt but admits the evidence likely would lead to a conviction.
The girl, now 16, revealed the incident to her mother last year. Her mother contacted the Stafford County Sheriff's Office, and the investigation was begun.
According to the Free Lance-Star, the prosecutor said Quick lived with a couple that often served as baby sitters for the girl. He was watching the victim and two other children when he took her to a bathroom, locked the door and raped her.
