Man Jumps Off Bridge Into Rappahannock; Rescued by Boat
A man jumped off the Falmouth Bridge Wednesday morning. He was rescued by Stafford County Sheriff's deputies.

STAFFORD, VA — A man who jumped into the Rappahannock River from the Falmouth Bridge was rescued Wednesday morning by Stafford Sheriff's Office deputies.
It's not clear what the man's motives were, and he was turned over to Fredericksburg police.
Rescue personnel responded five minutes after receiving a call at 9:18 a.m. about the incident. The man stayed in the middle of the river and didn't respond to attempts to rescue him from the shore.

Two rescue boats approached him, and three officers jumped into the water to bring him onto one of the boats.
