Man Killed in Terror Attack Worked for Fredericksburg Firm: Media Report
Security contractor was among 10 victims at hotel in Libya's capital.

An American security contractor working for a Fredericksburg consulting firm was among the 10 people killed during an attack on a Libyan hotel Tuesday, according to media reports.
Guests fled the waterfront Corinthia Hotel in Tripoli after the attack began shortly after 9 a.m. local time (2 a.m. ET). A car bomb later exploded nearby.
The Associated Press reported five foreigners and five Libyan guards were killed. Among those was David Berry, an American contractor who had worked with consulting firm Crucible LLC.
Cliff Taylor, Crucible’s CEO, identified Berry in a statement. “Our company mourns this extraordinary loss with his family and friends,” said Taylor, who declined to release any additional information on Berry, citing security concerns.
Taylor said his company, which employs less than 100 people, was still gathering details on the death of Berry
It was not immediately clear who was behind the attack, but the SITE monitoring service reported a militant group claiming affiliation with the Islamic State had claimed responsibility.
