Man Kills Girlfriend In Fredericksburg: Police

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A man was arrested Sunday and charged with second degree murder in the shooting death of his girlfriend the previous night in the 300 block of Palmer Street, according to Fredericksburg Police. Cortez Mills, 34, of Milford, is being held without bond.

Shortly before 9:45 p.m., police received a report about shots fired. Upon arrival at the scene, they found that a vehicle had run into a pole. When they approached the vehicle, they found the body of Antoinette Anne Beverly, 26 of Milford. Mills was found after an extensive search.
