Shortly after noon, a U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force asked for help of the Stafford County Sheriff's Office in arresting McQueen, who was spotted sitting in a parked vehicle in a driveway on Maple Leaf Court.

McQueen drove away from the residence, and when police tried to pull him over, he sped away on Greenridge Drive. Another officer set up "stop sticks" along the road, and the vehicle's driver side front and rear tires were deflated.

But McQueen kept on going, driving along Coal Landing Road at nearly 70 mph and then turning onto northbound Route 1. The pursuit continued through the intersection of Garrisonville Road, with tread breaking away from the tires all the way.

Two officers ahead initiated a rolling road block, during which McQueen tried several times to ram police vehicles.

When he finally came to a stop in the 3300 block of Jefferson Davis Highway, McQueen was arrested with the help of a K-9 unit.
