Mary Washington Hospital Sixth-Best in Virginia: U.S. News & World Report

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Mary Washington Hospital is Virginia's sixth-best health care facility, according to the latest rankings by U.S. News & World Report.

Not only that, but among 57 hospitals in the Greater D.C. region, Mary Washington came in No. 8.

Mary Washington senior vice president Kevin Van Renan touted the ranking.

“At Mary Washington Hospital, we’re proud that we offer the best care to our patients,” he said in a statement. “Our U.S. News ranking confirms that our exceptionally skilled team of medical professionals and support staff are providing the best care for the community.”

The hospital received especially high marks in gastroenterology and nephrology.

Other affirmative nods included its work in geriatrics, kidney disorders, orthopedics, pulmonology and urology.

Tops in the state, per the report, is the University of Virginia Medical Center.
