Maryland Man Dies From Gunshot Wounds In Fredericksburg: Police

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A Maryland man was shot and killed early Friday morning in the 100 block of Hickok Circle in Fredericksburg, according to the Fredericksburg Police Department.

The victim, Mark Anthony Johnson Jr., 35, was found by police in the street around 12:20 a.m. with multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency responders transported him to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, the police said Friday morning.

The police department received a call of shots fired in the area just after midnight. When patrol officers arrived at the scene, they set up a perimeter around the scene and began their investigation. A police K-9 track was also conducted.

"At this time, multiple suspects are believed to be involved," the police department said.
