STAFFORD, VA — A man was arrested early Saturday after pointing a gun at people and then hitting another man with it outside Mick's Restaurant and Sports Lounge, 2866 Jefferson Davis Highway, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Joshua Darnell Harris, 34, of Woodbridge, was charged with one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, one count or reckless handling of a firearm, one count of brandishing a firearm, one count of vandalism (he urinated in the back of a police cruiser) and one count of public intoxication.

Around 1 a.m., police arrived at the scene for a report of a fight involving a gun. Witnesses said Harris was involved in a fight inside the bar with another patron. The altercation moved to the parking lot, where the suspect was seen getting a gun from a green Cadillac. He then began waving it around and pointing it at multiple people in the area before striking another patron with it.

He already had fled when police arrived but was found shortly afterward near the front gate of Aquia Harbour. Meanwhile, multiple other fights were breaking out at Mick's. More police units were dispatched to the scene, and 17 deputies were needed to bring the crowd under control. Harris is being held without bond.
