Melissa McClelland, 48

Melissa Antoinette McClelland, 48, of Stafford County died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014 at home.

Mrs. McClelland was a member of St. Matthias UMC. She was a stay at home mom and caregiver for 23 years. Mrs. McClelland was a member of Marine Corps Moms and Grandma’s incorporated. She loved spending time with family and visiting the beach.

Survivors include her husband, Mark McClelland; three children, Thomas McClelland (Amy), Justin McClelland (Angela) and Mallory Armstrong (Zachary); parents, Stanley and Ramona Hayhurst; sister, Ramona Courtney and Amanda Hayhurst; two grandchildren, Landon Thomas McClelland and Marilyn Jean Armstrong and one more on the way; mother-in-law Louise McClelland; brother-in-law Ronald McClelland (Michelle); and sister-in-law Robyn Schneider (Larry).

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Monday, Sept. 15 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A service will be held at 11am Tuesday, Sept. 16 at St. Matthias United Methodist Church. Interment will be private.
