Missing Stafford Toddler Dies At Hospital: Police
A 3-year-old girl who was reported missing on Thursday was found in a body of water and taken to a hospital where she died, police said.
STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A missing 3-year-old girl from Stafford County has died, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. First responders found the girl in a body of water on Thursday. They took her to the hospital where she died, reports said.
The girl, Munawar Hadi, was reported missing around 5 p.m. on Thursday, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. A police K-9, drone team, and deputies were in the Rappahannock Landing area to help search for her.
The sheriff's office found her around 7 p.m. in a body of water about half of a mile away from her home. A deputy pulled her from the water and started CPR, the sheriff's office said.

First responders took her to Mary Washington Hospital, where medical personnel tried to save her life for over an hour.
"While we are still in the initial stages of our investigation this appears to be a tragic accident," the sheriff's office said on Facebook. "There are no words to describe our grief at this devastating outcome. Our hearts and prayers go out to the victim’s family during this difficult time."
