He told both police and a magistrate he'd try to do it again if released, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Released? No.

STAFFORD, VA — A "dazed" man who vowed he wanted stab a deputy in the neck with scissors is in jail following a strange incident late Monday night at a parking lot in the 1700 block of Jefferson Davis Highway, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.

He's being held without bond.

Shortly before midnight Monday, an officer pulled into the lot and soon saw a Honda CRV pull into the lot about 10 feet away from his cruiser. The man got out and approached the officer, all the while mumbling that he "had nothing to lose," and putting his hands in and out of his pockets.

Police, who said he appeared dazed, told him to show his hands. He did, and his hands were clinched. He was arrested, and a search found he had a pair of household scissors.

The reason? Chowdhury told both police and a magistrate he wanted to stab a deputy in the neck, and added if he was released from jail, he would try to do it again.

So there you go. Honesty. Perhaps a bit too much.
