Murder Suspect Sought In Fredericksburg: Police

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Authorities want the public's help in finding a murder suspect related to a July 1 incident in the Greenbrier Shopping Center parking lot, according to Fredericksburg Police. Stevie Montrel Adams, 37, of no fixed address, is wanted for murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He's described as 5-11, 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Adams is wanted in the shooting death of Alon Alvin Clipper, 23, of King George County. Shortly before 2 a.m., police received a call about shots fired at the shopping center in the 2000 block of Plank Road. Upon arrival, they found shell casings in the parking lot.

Shortly after 2 a.m., police received a call from Mary Washington Hospital that a male with gunshot wounds had been brought to the emergency room. It was Clipper, who later died.

Police are offering a cash award for information that leads to Adams' arrest. Anyone with information is urged to call 540-373-3122.
