Muslims love Jesus (Peace be on him)

Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him ) repeatedly emphasized that Muslims should respect all religions, their believers, and their prophets. As an Ahmadi Muslim, I believe in Jesus (peace be on him) as a prophet of God and respect him very much. God says in the Holy Qur’an,“The Messiah, son of Mary, was only a Messenger; surely, Messengers like unto him had indeed passed away before him. And his mother was a truthful woman. They both used to eat food” (5:76 ). This verse reaffirms Jesus (pboh) being a messenger and that Mary (peace be on her) was truthful, pious, and an example for believers. A chapter of the Holy Qur’an is named after her which shows how well she is respected in Islam. Many may not know that it is part of my belief as a Muslim that prophets were sent by God in different times for the guidance of the people of that age.


I do not celebrate Christmas but as an Ahmadi Muslim I share my sentiments of love and kindness during this holiday season. Once everyone starts to respect each others’ beliefs it will guarantee peace in our lives and a life full of harmony and of love. May 2018 bring this for us. Happy New Year!
