Nasty Women Exhibition FXBG.

The Nasty Women Exhibition, an international art event aimed at creating resistance and raising funds is coming to Fredericksburg, Virginia this First Friday!

"Nasty Women is a global art movement that serves to demonstrate solidarity among artists who identify with being a Nasty Woman in the face of threats to roll back women’s rights, individual rights, and abortion rights. With over forty fundraising art exhibitions taking place around the United States and abroad, Nasty Women Exhibitions also serve to support organizations defending these rights and to be a platform for organization and resistance."

For our second year running, during Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Art Mart partnered with RCSA (http://www.rcasa.org/) to benefit the non profit through arts and fund raising. Proceeds from the night's events will be donated to RCASA and they will have a table with information during First Friday.

Artists both local and international will be presenting works ranging in media.

Commonwealth Slam and Poetry Readings will be curating a special slam to kick off celebrations during National Poetry Month.

Over twelve women artists, live murals, music, video projections will be on display during our artist reception from 6 to 9 pm.
