The New Year is the time celebrated differently in various cultures. But, we all want to welcome the New Year in a good manner.
Every year I see people making resolutions and promises to themselves at this time to keep it till end of the year. My New Resolution is to try to improve in faith and spirituality and be a good person. If we are sincere in our intent and efforts, God will help us too. We should spend our days in the remembrance of God through words and actions. As a Muslim, I pray every day that, “Our Lord, grant us good in this world as well as good in the world to come” (2:202). I would start the New Year by offering special prayer at night and early morning and ask Him for blessings in the coming year.
New Year can be a beautiful beginning. We should spend this day with our loved ones and make them happy. God says in the Quran, “And everyone has a goal which dominates him; vie, then, with one another in good work.(2:149). This is my goal for the New Year, too.The New Year is the time celebrated differently in various cultures. But, we all want to welcome the New Year in a good manner.
