Norther Virginia Work Week Weather: Nod To Irma

STERLING, VA — Scattered remnants of Hurricane Irma combined with typical late-summer conditions are expected to make for a mostly cloudy and sporadically rainy work week for the Northern Virginia area, according to the area arm of the National Weather Service in Sterling. After Monday, sunshine will be a rare thing.

Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 75. Light and variable wind becoming northeast 5 to 7 mph in the morning.

Monday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. East wind around 6 mph becoming calm after midnight.

Tuesday: A chance of rain, mainly after 8am. Cloudy, with a high near 72. Calm wind becoming east around 6 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Tuesday Night: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a low around 64. East wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Wednesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 79. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 66.

Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 79. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
