STERLING, VA — Northern Virginia's weekend weather forecast begins with a burst of sub-freezing temperatures Friday night until they become milder for Veteran's Day and Sunday. That's the word from the area arm of the National Weather in Sterling, which has issued a freeze warning for 7 p.m.-10 a.m.
Temperatures Friday night are expected to drop into the mid 20s but at least the wind will taper off considerably. Veterans Day will be celebrated with sunshine and highs in the upper 30s with light wind. This time, lows should be around 30. Things begin to warm up a bit Sunday with highs in the upper 40s.
