Northern Virginia's work-week weather forecast is shaping up as a rinse-and-repeat affair.

STERLING, VA—So was this past weekend the opening ceremony for the dog days of August? Looks that way, and Northern Virginia's work-week weather forecast should continue to offer proof for the next couple of days. That's the word from the National Weather Service and other area forecasting outlets.
We're looking at something of a rinse-and-repeat work week, with the hottest stuff here for the first part. Then, as is pointed out by the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang: "During the transition from hot to not as hot, some showers and storms are a good bet midweek."
