Northern Virginia Weather: Hazardous Outlook Issued
A hazard weather outlook at been issued by the National Weather Service for the Northern Virginia area but it won't last all that long.
STERLING, VA—Following a weekend sendoff from that National Weather Service that includes a hazardous outlook about possible strong thunderstorms and winds Sunday night, Northern Virginia's forecast for the rest of the week looks mostly clear with steadily rising temperatures.
Not only that, but the heat should really kick in come Thursday. That's the word from the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang: "Latest model guidance and temperature projections point toward a hot air mass engulfing the Mid-Atlantic next weekend, favoring 90s for Mother’s Day (May 13)."

Sunday Night: Scattered showers and thunderstorms before 8pm, then isolated showers between 8pm and 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. North wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Monday: A slight chance of showers after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 71. North wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
