Northern Virginia Weather: Hazardous Outlook Issued
A hazardous weather warning and a flash flood watch has been issued for Northern Virginia. Also, we have the weekend weather outlook.

STERLING, VA—Northern Virginia's weekend weather forecast includes a flash flood warning Friday until 11 p.m., according to the National Weather Service and other forecasting outlets. Expect gusting winds and heavy rain at times.
Even so, as is pointed out by the Washington Post's Capital Gang: "This is not super widespread activity, so it will remain hit-and-miss, with plenty of folks staying dry. But where it rains, it could be heavy at times."
As for the weekend, the change from the past week or so will be dramatic in terms of temperatures. We're talking low 70s and even upper 60s for highs, along with a strong chance of rain of both Saturday and Sunday. Friday Night: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 11pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11pm. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Patchy fog after 5am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 71. Northeast wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Saturday: Showers likely. Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a temperature falling to around 67 by 4pm. Northeast wind 7 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Saturday Night: A chance of showers before 2am, then rain likely after 2am. Cloudy, with a low around 63. Northeast wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Sunday: Rain. High near 71. East wind 10 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
