Northern Virginia Weather: Hazardous Outlook Issued

HAZARDOUS OUTLOOK: Northern Virginia's weekend weather should feature some of the coldest conditions we've experienced in many months.

STERLING, VA—Northern Virginia's weekend weather forecast begins with, of all things, a hazardous weather outlook. That includes a freeze warning from 10 p.m. Saturday through 9 a.m. Sunday, with temperatures dropping into the upper 20s and lower 30s. Thus decrees the National Weather Service's local bureau in Sterling, as well as other area forecasting outlets.

After Friday's rainy muck moves through overnight and colder temperatures follow, Saturday is expected to offer loads of sun accompanied by wind gusts around 30 mph. That's along with temperatures that probably will peak in the mid 40s.

And come Sunday? Consider this from the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang: "It’s definitely the pick of the two days. . . High temperatures are mostly in the mid- and upper 40s, which is certainly on the chilly side for a sunny day in the first half of November."
