Northern Virginia Weather: And Now The 180
WEATHER: Northern Virginia will return to something of a guessing game regarding rain and how much to expect. One certainty: It's coming.

STERLING, VA—Complaints regarding Northern Virginia's work-week weather forecast certainly are valid, given the return of overall cloudiness and sogginess. But at least we're coming off a pair of relatively glorious days. As it is, according to the National Weather Service and other area forecasters, umbrellas will be appropriate this week.
And things likely will seem painfully familiar, as is pointed out by Channel 7 (WJLA): "Showers and storms that develop will potentially travel slowly and over the same areas, increasing the chances of localized flash flooding (like last week)." Here's the detailed forecast from the National Weather Service's local outlet in Sterling:
Monday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 3pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Calm wind becoming east 5 to 8 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
