Northern Virginia's Thanksgiving Week weather will become progressively colder but there also is much to like about what's to come.

STERLING, VA—Colder weather is on the way for Northern Virginia, and it's expected to arrive just in time for Thanksgiving under sunny skies. That's the word from the National Weather Service and other area forecasting outlets. Monday, in fact, should bring be the week's only overcast conditions.
By midweek, temperatures are still relatively mild. But as the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang points out: "Don’t try to thaw that turkey out in the garage Wednesday night, as it’ll probably still be quite frozen after a reinforcing shot of cool air pushes lows into the 20s."
