STERLING, VA—Loads of sunshine highlight Northern Virginia's weekend weather forecast—that, and the temporary continuation of this low-humidity summer oddity that's been hanging around the past several days. That's the word from the National Weather Service's HQ in Sterling as well other area forecasting outlets.

Saturday is expected to be stunning. Sunday? Not so much. As the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang puts it: "We get one more day of pure August bliss before summer says hello again, (because after) creeping up through Saturday night, humidity will be back to unfriendly levels by Sunday."
