Northern Virginia's weekend weather forecast includes winds that get stronger and stronger, and our comfort level may suffer as a result.

STERLING, VA—Northern Virgnia's weekend weather will feature a decent amount of sunshine after Saturday morning's showers move out, but that's also when other changes move in, according to the National Weather Service and othe area forecasters. For one thing, there will be a chill in the air—especially Sunday.

On top of that, as pointed out by the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang, "We’ll also have a hefty wind out of the northwest, sustained as high as 20 mph in the afternoon. We’re talking morning wind chills in the 30s and afternoon feeling like the 40s." So there you go. Here's the detailed forecast from the National Weather Service's Sterling bureau:

Saturday: A chance of showers before 9am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 65. Southwest wind 7 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 44. West wind 9 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 52. Northwest wind 14 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 38. Northwest wind 5 to 9 mph.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 56.
